Interview With Adviser

Dr. Dupree: What made you join FBLA?

Nakea: When you told me all of the benefits of FBLA, such as traveling, conferences, workshops, leadership skills, and community service. My mother and I knew it was the perfect organization for me.

Dr. Dupree: What was the best decision you made about FBLA?

Nakea: I would have to say it is between joining and being a state officer. I love the state officers I work with; they help me keep an opened mind. I enjoy making the FBLA experience a great one for everyone around me. It is an honor.

Dr. Dupree: Why and when did you decide that you wanted to be a state officer?

Nakea: When I attended my first State Leadership Conference, I decided that I wanted to be a state officer. I was amazed by their confidence on stage and the things they did for the members. I learned that there is so much more to the world of FBLA and I wanted to travel it. I also knew that I would be making a legacy by being the first state officer at Redan High School.

Dr. Dupree: What are the benefit of joining FBLA?

Nakea: The benefits of joining FBLA are the life-long networks and friendships you make, the feeling you receive when doing community service, the leadership skills and experiences you receive, being prepare for the business world, and last but not least the overall feeling of being a member is unexplainable.
